Hi, thanks for visiting BIP!
A full blooded Finn in Middle East.
I work as a customer care manager in an inspiring telephony startup. I love spending time with friends and loved ones, seeing new places, going on hikes, running, baking (obviously), snuggling up with our Chipin named Peach, doing crafts, puzzles, mosaics and cooking for my awesome, supporting husband who also helps me with the technical side of this site. I’m a home/self-taught baker. I’ve studied pastry in Bishulim – The Israeli Institute of Culinary Arts and I am currently working in a local chef restaurant as a pastry cook. Pastry is my passion and I love taking advantage of any opportunity to learn new techniques and improving my knowledge and skills.
I love trying new flavours and combinations and taking on challenges. I started this blog back in 2014 to keep track on my recipes, decorating attempts and progress in both baking and blogging, as well as food photography.
I love cute things and have a collection of Hello Kitty stuff hidden in our bookshelf drawers. Naturally as a Finn I’m obsessed with Scandinavian design and like to keep filling my kitchen cupboards with new Moomin cups and iittala.
The recipes shared on the blog are baked in the heart of our home, a small kitchen maxed out with storage and working space, designed together with a local carpenter.
I welcome your comments and suggestions and please, feel free to share!
