Sometimes you just have those days when things don’t go as planned… Well, let me tell you what happened while making these macaron cookies that I planned to fill with chocolate ice cream but ended up serving as almond-meringue cookies with no filling.
I prepared the egg shaped macaron shells the day before, using my regular macaron recipe and colours mixture that I will write about more in the next post.
Not only did I drop the first batch of melted chocolate on my kitchen floor, after cleaning that up and melting another batch I piped the decorations on the cookies and accidentally dropped the tray while transferring it to the fridge.
So that’s how I ended up with less than half of the original amount of cookies but luckily I managed to save 6 to fill the egg carton. 🙂
