I’ve made my mud cake recipe using different chocolates and can say the chocolate quality really makes difference here. This time I used Hershey’s Kisses Special Dark Mildly Sweet Chocolate and the flavour was simply divine.
Mud cake flavour only gets better after it cools down, but it’s also delicious hot with a scoop of ice cream or some whipped cream 🙂
Taking a picture of inside the cake turned out to be challenging at night time, it does not look nearly as good as the texture actually was but trust me it’s worth of trying!

Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C, lightly grease your cake tin (here used a heart shaped silicon cake tin approximately 10cm wide and 9cm long.)
In a small bowl or a plate mix flour, salt and baking powder.
In a separate mixing bowl beat egg and sugar on medium high speed for few minutes, until the mixture is pale and airy.
Meanwhile heat the butter in a sauce pan until melted, then add the chocolates and continue stirring o over low heat until the chocolate has melted and incorporated with the butter.
Then mix all three mixtures and spoon the batter into your cake tin.
Bake for 15 minutes, the cake is supposed to stay a bit gooey in the middle.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with fresh raspberries.
