Pumpkin Oreo Pops

Halloween oreo popsHalloween is almost upon us and pumpkins keep popping up everywhere… well at least in pictures, if you are not in a country where Halloween is celebrated.

While I have only ever used pumpkin in soups, I keep dreaming of pumpkin spice latte and hope this year I’ll finally manage to make a pumpkin pie.

This time I visited the theme only by dressing some Oreos into cute halloween pumpkin pops. Simple and fun! 😀

Halloween oreo pops
Ingredients: salty liquorice flexes, 100g white chocolate, 4 oreo cookies, green leaf sugar sprinkles and orange candy coloring. (+4 lollipop sticks)
Halloween oreo pops
Flatten some liquorice flexes to get wider pieces.
Halloween oreo pops
Cut out little triangles for eyes and nose and a longer piece for mouth, removing small pieces for teeth.
Halloween oreo pops
Gently pull the Oreos apart, melt the white chocolate, dip the lollipop sticks in the melted chocolate and place in middle of the icing.
Halloween oreo pops
Return the top cookie and allow the chocolate to harden in between.
Halloween oreo pops
Mix few drops of orange coloring in the remaining white chocolate and mix well.
Halloween oreo pops
Cover one side by brushing with the white chocolate ( if you want it all covered you can dip it in the chocolate)
Halloween oreo pops
Apply the liquorice pieces for a face and sugar sprinkles for stem, using a drop of chocolate in between you can stack the sprinkles up.
Halloween oreo pops
Refrigerate until serving.

Use remaining chocolate to write a message or greeting and refrigerate for few hours to allow to harden.
